WESTVILLE, Ind. – Lake Superior State women's basketball used a second-half comeback to defeat Purdue Northwest 66-58 in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play on Saturday afternoon.

Lake Superior State (8-18, 3-16 GLIAC) was outscored by Purdue Northwest (3-22, 1-18 GLIAC) 21-13 in the first quarter. The Lakers bounced back as they outscored the Pride 15-13 in the second quarter to make the score 34-28 at halftime. In the third quarter, Purdue Northwest extended its lead to as many as 10 points early on, but Lake Superior State fought back to pull within one point of Purdue Northwest with the score 46-45 at the end of the quarter. In the fourth quarter, The Lakers, who trailed by as many as seven points in the final stanza, completed their come-from-behind victory by outscoring the Pride 21-12 in the fourth quarter to make the final score 66-58.    

Junior guard Claire Radtke scored a game-high 19 points, while grabbing eight rebounds. Junior forward Lexie Khon garnered a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Lake Superior State held an edge at the free throw line — converting 22-of-28 attempts while Purdue Northwest made 4-of-10.

The Lakers conclude the regular season with a game against Ferris State, the reigning NCAA Division II National Champions, at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 28 inside Bud Cooper Gymnasium. The Lakers are holding 90s Throwback Night. Come to the game wearing your favorite 90s apparel and cheer on your Lakers.
