SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – Lake Superior State women's basketball continues Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play with two games at home this week in Bud Cooper Gymnasium.

Lake Superior State (6-14, 1-12 GLIAC) faces Wayne State University (11-10, 6-7 GLIAC) on Thursday at 5:30 p.m., followed by No. 11 Ashland University (19-2, 11-2 GLIAC) on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Last Time on the Court

The Lakers battled against Saginaw Valley State on Saturday, losing by a 66-52 final.

Sophomore guard Jenna Gregory notched a double-double for Lake State, with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Junior forward Lexie Khon had the team-lead in points with 16 and was a rebound shy of a double-double, tallying nine. Junior guard Claire Radtke led the Lakers in assists with five.

Scouting Ashland

No. 11 Ashland heads into Saturday's game following a matchup on Thursday when the Eagles visit Ferris State. In the Eagles' most recent action, they fell to Grand Valley State 73-71 on Saturday.

The Eagles are scoring 91.4 points per game, while allowing 63.2 points per game. They are shooting 50.6 percent from the field, including 39.7 percent on three-point shots, and their opponents make 39.2 percent of their field goal attempts, including 34.0 percent of three-pointers.
