Mike Collins Named Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – Mike Collins has been named the Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach at Lake Superior State (LSSU), as announced by LSSU Athletic Director, Dr. Dave Diles, on Thursday.

"Bringing my family up to this beautiful area has been a blessing and I look forward to all of the great things to come as a new member of the LSSU family," said Collins.

Collins has served as the varsity boys' and girls' tennis coach at Garber High School in Essexville, Mich. where he oversaw all operations of the program, including the organization of transportation, developing summer practices and offseason workouts, and recruiting new players to the program. While at Garber, Collins also had the opportunity to develop current LSSU men's tennis player Logan Brown (Bay City, Mich.).

Prior to Garber High School, Collins has also served as the varsity boys' tennis coach at Frankenmuth High School as well as the JV girls' tennis coach at Bay City Central High School.

Collins received a bachelor's degree in exercise science with a minor in psychology from Saginaw Valley State in 2014.
