Osmond Named GLIAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the Second Time This Season

BAY CITY, Mich. – Senior Aaron Osmond (Cheltenham, U.K.) has been named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Men's Tennis Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.

Osmond helped lead his team to a 4-3 victory over the Michigan Tech Huskies to open conference play on Sunday with a 6-4 victory at the No. 1 doubles position after teaming up with Maxence Hamon (Montreal, Quebec) to propel the Lakers to a sweep of doubles action, and he would then go on to win the No. 1 singles match 6-3 7-6(5) after coming back from down 0-5 in the second set.

This marks Osmond's second GLIAC weekly honors of the season.

Osmond and the Lakers will be looking to keep their momentum going when they travel to face the Purdue Northwest Pride on Friday, March 24 before facing the Davenport Panthers the following day.
