SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - The Lake Superior State University men's tennis program (0-1) is set to travel to take on former Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) foe Northwood on Friday Feb. 10 at 1 p.m. before facing the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils the following day at 4 p.m.

The Lakers will be looking to bounce back after a heartbreaking loss to TIffin in which they narrowly lost to the Dragons by the score of 4-3. However, senior Aaron Osmond (Cheltenham, U.K.) was still able to make a statement individually, upsetting the No. 6 ranked player in the nation, Ruben Fonga by a score of 6-3, 5-7, 7-5, and was named the GLIAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week as a result.

The Northwood Timberwolves enter their first season as members of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference after competing as members of the GLIAC for the previous 30 years. The TImberwolves finished last season's campaign with a record of 8-14 (3-4 GLIAC) before falling in the first round of the GLIAC tournament to Davenport. The Men's team boasts nine returnees out of the current 11 players on their roster including their No. 1 singles player, Max Wild. The Timberwolves opened this season with a pair of losses to Wayne State and Ferris State by scores of 7-0 in each contest.

The Lawrence Tech Blue Devils finished last season's campaign with a record of 14-15 (3-3 WHAC) before losing in the first round of the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) tournament to Cornerstone. Just over half of their current roster return from the previous season, and are currently 1-3 on the year.
