Connor Milburn Named CCHA Co-Best Defensive Forward of the Year

DEEPHAVEN, Minn. -  Lake Superior State hockey sophomore Connor Milburn (Kamloops, B.C.) has been selected as the CCHA Co-Best Defensive Forward of the Year, as voted on by the coaches. 

Milburn led the Lakers in assists (15, points (24) and face-off wins (210) during conference play this season, winning 47.6% of his draws and blocking 13 shots on the defensive end. Adding nine goals, including two game-winners, he was third in plus-minus (+6) and shots (57). The league-leader in points, he was second in assists and multi-point games (7) and fourth in face-off wins.

Milburn would then go on to record five more points in the opening round of the CCHA Mason Cup Quarterfinals, scoring a goal in each game.

Milburn and the Lakers return to action on Saturday, March 16 when they face the Bemidji State Beavers in the CCHA Semifinal
