DEEPHAVEN, Minn. - Lakers Jared Westcott (Imperial, Mo.), Connor Milburn (Kamloops, B.C.), and John Herrington (Hudson's Hope, B.C.) have each earned CCHA All-conference recognition, as announced by the league office on Monday. Westcott has been named to the All-CCHA First Team while Milburn was selected to the All-CCHA Second Team and Herrington received All-Rookie Team honors.
Westcott finished the regular season as the CCHA's leader in points with 34 before tacking on his 18th goal of the season in game one of the CCHA Mason Cup Playoff Quarterfinals. Westcott is a two-time CCHA Forward of the Week, two-time CCHA Forward of the Month, and he was also named Hockey Commissioner's Association Co-National Player of the Month in November. He was even at one point leading the nation in goal scoring after scoring the game-winner over Bowling Green in overtime in November. His hat trick at St. Lawrence was also the first hat trick by a Laker since the 2021-22 season and the first one on the road since 2018.
Milburn ended the regular season joining Westcott as one of five CCHA skaters to reach the 30-point milestone. The CCHA Best Defensive Forward finalist also went on to have himself a playoff series to follow it up with five points this past weekend, including scoring a goal in all three games of the series. As a sophomore, Milburn increased his point production exponentially this season as after only recording five-points in his first collegiate season, he exploded to average a point per game as a sophomore. He led his team in +/- rating at +12, centering one of the most productive lines in the CCHA alongside Westcott and Dawson Tritt (Spokane, Wash.).
Herrington wrapped up his first regular season in a Laker uniform, in which he mostly spent on the top line, with 19 points on 9 goals and 10 assists that featured a three-game goal streak to end the season in which he scored twice at Minnesota State before tacking on one last insurance goal against Ferris State. He also had a pair of power play strikes, a shorthanded goal, and was +19 in the face-off circle with a .550 win percentage.
