Herrington Named CCHA Rookie of the Week for Second Time This Season

DEEPHAVEN, Minn. - John Herrington (Hudson's Hope, B.C.) has been named the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) Rookie of the Week for the second time this season, as announced by the league office on Monday.

Herrington paced the way for the Lakers with three-points on the weekend with a goal and two assists, including assisting on both the opening goal and the game-winner on Saturday. He finished the weekend with a +2 +/- rating, and he also helped take pressure off of his goaltender with a block. This marks Herrington's second CCHA Rookie of the Week honors of the season.

Herrington and the Lakers return to action on Saturday, Dec. 16 when they travel for a single game at Ferris State with puck drop scheduled for 5:07 p.m.
