Laker Hockey Welcomes Reagan Milburn

Laker Hockey Welcomes Reagan Milburn

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. -  The Lake Superior State (LSSU) hockey program welcomes Reagan Milburn to the team as part of the 2023 recruiting class.

Milburn, a native of Kamloops, B.C., joins his elder brother, Connor, who appeared in 34 games with the Lakers last season, notching three goals and two assists, including a game-tying goal against Clarkson with 1.9 seconds remaining in regulation as a true freshman.

"Kamloops guys love Lake State!" Milburn said.

After graduating from South Kamloops Secondary School, Milburn would go on to play three seasons of junior hockey with the Vernon Vipers of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL), improving his production in each of his three seasons with the organization as well as helping them to a winning record in all three years. In the BCHL, Milburn became accustomed to playing against his brothers Connor and Brady whenever the Vipers faced off against the Chilliwack Chiefs, but now, he looks forward to having his house no longer divided.

During his most recent season, he led Vernon in scoring with 48 points on 19 goals and 29 assists. His efforts would not go unnoticed by the league with Milburn being named a BCHL All-Star as well as being selected for the BCHL Top Prospects Game.

Milburn and the Lakers are set to kick off the 2023-24 regular season on Saturday, Oct. 7 at Michigan State.
