Laker Hockey Welcomes Ross Roloson

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - The Lake Superior State (LSSU) hockey program welcomes Ross Roloson to the team as part of the 2023 recruiting class.

Roloson, the brother of current LSSU forward, Brett Roloson, and son of former NHL All-Star and current Laker Goaltending Coach and Director of Player Development, Dwayne Roloson, attended Northern Alberta Xtreme Academy in Edmonton, Alb. where he helped lead the U18 squad to a 32-3 overall record while posting 34 points (4G, 30A) in his final season with the program in 2019-20.

Roloson would then begin his junior hockey career with the Minot Minotauros of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) where he played 36 games with the organization. He would then move on to the United States Hockey League's (USHL) Green Bay Gamblers the following season.

For the 2022-23 season, Roloson would return to Canada to help the Surrey Eagles to a 35-16-3 record in the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) where his 26 points (3G, 23A) had him tied for second among Surrey defensemen. His leadership within the organization also earned him the right to don an 'A' on his jersey as an assistant captain.

Roloson and the Lakers are set to kick off the 2023-24 regular season on Saturday, Oct. 7 at Michigan State.
