SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - Four Lake Superior State men's hockey student-athletes were named American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) Krampade All-American Scholars for the 2019-20 season. Junior forward Alex Ambrosio, freshman forward Louis Boudon, junior defenseman Tyler Anderson, and sophomore forward Pete Veillette earned the academic honor. 

The AHCA recognized varsity ice hockey players who compiled exceptional results in the classroom during the 2019-20 season, marking the fourth annual awarding of the Krampade All-American Scholars. Due to the effects of COVID-19 on grades in the spring, the AHCA adopted a revised criteria for this year's honorees. To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 GPA during the fall semester and participated in at least 40% of their school's games.

"These are exceptional individuals," said AHCA executive director Joe Bertagna. "The sport demands a great deal from these athletes so it is a great statement they make, individually and collectively, with their ability to attain this level of academic achievement while contributing at the NCAA Division I level."
