SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. — Lake Superior State Hockey and the Check.Slash.Survive committee announce that the 11th annual Check.Slash.Survive game will be held Saturday, February 16 when the Lakers face off against the Michigan Tech Huskies at 7 p.m. inside Taffy Abel Arena.

Check.Slash.Survive, the revamped "Pink in the Rink" fundraiser, focuses on raising funds for local organizations that help battle all types of cancer. For this year's Check.Slash.Survive game, the Check.Slash.Survive committee voted to place an emphasis on drawing awareness to childhood cancer. The event has been a staple in the Sault Ste. Marie community for over a decade.

The event will feature raffles, merchandise to purchase and specialty jerseys worn by the Lakers, which will be auctioned off during the game.
