SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich.— Throughout the month of November, the Lake Superior State hockey team has been sporting mustaches, beards and unique facial hair styles for 'Movember' with a goal of raising awareness and funds for the Movember Foundation.

The Movember Foundation is the only charity taking on men's health globally addressing some of the biggest health issues for men such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.

Each week, participating Lakers had their picture taken and updated on their individual Movember accounts which allow supporters to donate to individual players or the general team account.

"Movember is a positive, interactive tool to help raise awareness for men's health issues," said senior defenseman Ryan Renz. "Each year my teammates and I enjoy bringing these issues to attention in a fun way with our main focus set on helping the Movember Foundation"

Movember donations can be made through Dec.1 by going to Movember.com, clicking the "Donate" button, and searching for any of the players OR by searching 'LSSU Men's Hockey.'

All funds raised by the LSSU hockey program will go directly to those affected by men's health problems.
