SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - The Lake Superior State hockey team, under head coach Damon Whitten, is set to take on Laurentian University in an exhibition game Sunday, October 1st at 3:07 p.m.
This is different than the time printed on many tickets for the game, which say the game begins at 7:07 p.m.
Some tickets that were sold early had the original start time of 7:07 p.m. printed on them, which was later adjusted to the current start time. Please be advised that the game is to start at 3:07 p.m. and not at 7:07 p.m.
Those who have picked up a pocket schedule or a poster schedule for the 2017-18 season may also notice that the start time for the Friday, October 13th game against Michigan Tech is listed as starting at 7:37 p.m. This time is also incorrect, as the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) has moved most league games to start at 7:07 local time for this season. An exception to that is the November 10th matchup where Lake Superior travels to Bowling Green. The listed time of 7:37 p.m. is correct in that case.
Against Laurentian, the Lakers hold a 21-6-6 record. In their last meeting, which kicked off the 2016-17 campaign, Lake State and Laurentian skated to a 3-3 tie with the visitors, from Sudbury, Ontario, prevailing in a shootout.
We apologize for any inconvience these misprints may have caused.
