Tony Crisp is entering his sixth year with the Lake Superior State Golf program in 2022-23. Crisp will begin his fourth season as program's head coach. Crisp had served in a volunteer capacity for the prior two seasons.

A four-year letter winner at Sault Area High School, Crisp won 2 MHSAA tournaments and made 5 All-Tournament teams in his high school career. In 1997, Crisp began his collegiate golf career with Lake Superior State playing till 2001.

Crisp obtained his Undergraduate degree from Lake Superior State University in 2001, majoring in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement.  Upon graduation, Crisp relocated to Detroit, Mich. where he began his law enforcement career with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office as a Deputy Sheriff patrolling the City of Detroit.  In 2009, Crisp returned home to Sault Ste. Marie after accepting a federal law enforcement position with the Department of Homeland Security.

In 2010, Crisp was appointed boys and girls head golf coach at Sault Area High School.  Crisp quickly developed the team making it a viable program for over 15 players annually. He provided playing and mechanics instruction while further developing the Sault High Golf program.

The Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., native started his playing career at the original Sault Ste. Marie Country Club. Crisp played in numerous junior tournaments across the Upper and Lower Peninsula. He also works for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
