Men's and Women's Golf Teams Set to Compete at Parkside Spring Invitational and Perry Park Spring Fling

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. — The Lake Superior State men's and women's golf teams go on the road for tournaments this weekend.

The men's team is set to compete at the Parkside Spring Invitational at Otter Creek Golf Course in Columbus, Indiana on Sunday and Monday. The women's team competes in the Perry Park Spring Fling at the Perry Park Golf Club in Perry Park, Kentucky on Saturday and Sunday. 

The Lake Superior State men's team last finished 19th out of 21 teams at the SVSU Spring Invitational at Cherry Blossom Golf Course in Lexington, Kentucky on March 16-17. Sophomore Nick Oosterhof led the Lakers with a two-round score of 147 (71, 76), which earned him a tie for 38th place.

In their last tournament, the Laker women finished 14th out of 23 teams in the SVSU Spring Invitational at Cherry Blossom Golf Course in Lexington, Kentucky on March 16-17. The Lakers were led by sophomore Taylor Simoneau, who finished tied for 27th with a score of 160 (80, 80), and senior Tatiana Hulan, who shot a 163 (82, 81) to tie for 39th place.
