Laker Golf Competes at SVSU Spring Invitational

LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Lake Superior State University men's and women's golf teams competed in the SVSU Spring Invitational at the Kearney Hill Golf Links in Lexington, Kentucky. Competing in their first tournaments of the spring, the women finished 14th out of 23 teams with a score of 658 and the men finished 19th out of 21 teams with a score of 625. 

Pacing the Lakers on the men's side was sophomore Nick Oosterhof with a score of 147 (71, 76). Sophomore Ryan Page carded a 157 (81, 76), senior Gavin MacIver scored 160 (82, 78), sophomore Isaac Lennox scored 162 (82, 80), and rounding out the men's lineup was freshman Zander Park, who finished with a score of 163 (83,80). 

The women's team was lead by sophomore Taylor Simoneau with a score of 160 (80,80). Senior Tatiana Hulan scored 163 (82, 81), freshman Alyshia Suleman scored 164 (79, 85), sophomore Madison Wilkie scored 172 (85, 87), and rounding out the lineup was Naomi Keyte with a score of 176 (90, 86). 

The women's team returns to action at Perry Park, Kentucky on March 30-31 and the men's team travels to Columbus, Indiana for the Parkside Invitational on March 31.
