MARQUETTE, Mich.- The Lake Superior State men's golf team travelled to Marquette, Mich., this past weekend to compete in the 2018 Northern Michigan University Match Play Invitational.

The Lakers finished in seventh place with 28 team points place while Wayne State won the tournament with 31.

Seven Lakers went 3-3 while Sam Hamelin went 2-4. Sophomore Ryan page won a match by a score of 8.5-.5, sophomore Nick Oosterhof won a match 7.5-1.5, and senior Gavin MacIver won a match 8-1.

Lake State travels to Ferris State to play in a stroke play event this weekend (9/15), the first event of the year. The women's team travel to play at Bay City Country Club hosted by Saginaw Valley this weekend.
