SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – The Lake Superior State men's and women's track and field teams continue their indoor seasons at the SVSU "Doug Hansen" Open on Friday at the Saginaw Valley State University Fieldhouse in University Center, Michigan.

The field events begin with the high jump at 2:30 p.m. The running events start at 4 p.m. with the 60-meter hurdles leading the schedule.

The Lakers last competed at the SVSU Holiday Open on Dec. 7-8 at the Saginaw Valley State University Fieldhouse. Junior Roger Wilford recorded one of the top performances on the men's side with an NCAA Division II Provisional Qualifier in the heptathlon as he tallied a personal best 4,761 points to finish fourth out of 10 competitors. On the women's side, junior Rebecca Lathrop won the 800-meter run with a time of 2:22.60.

The Lakers return to competition at the GVSU Open, hosted by Grand Valley State University, on Friday, Jan. 25 in Allendale, Michigan.
