Wright post two top-10 finishes at The Big Meet
ALLENDALE - Lake Superior State sophomore Patrick Wright tied for fifth in the men's 60-meter dash finals and placed ninth in the men's triple jump during the second day of competition at The Big Meet hosted by Grand Valley State.
Wright clocked a time of :07.16 to qualify fifth during the preliminaries and ran a :07.14 in the finals. Division I runners from Michigan State and Western Kentucky finished ahead of him. Wright jumped 42-0 3/4 in the triple jump. He also placed 19th in the long jump with a leap of 20-7 3/4.
LSSU's Taylor Patton was ninth in the women's triple jump (34-9), while Katie Winiarski was 15th (31-3).
