Hentschel enters his second season as Assistant Coach at LSSU in 2023-24.
He also served as the Head JV Coach during his first season with the program.
Hentschel comes to LSSU from Liberty University where he served as a Graduate Assistant of Applied Performance.
Prior to his time at Liberty, Hentschel worked as a data analyst at Sports Medicine Analytics Research Team (S.M.A.R.T.) where he created health and performance datasets and applied understanding of biomechanics, player tracking, and acute to chronic workload to advise professional sports teams and leagues.
He also served as an assistant basketball coach at Northwood University where he implemented the pack line defense during the 2019-20 season.
Hentschel graduated from Syracuse University with a bachelor’s degree in sport analytics.
